Class Details:
Rather than focusing on performance or outcome, we’ll lead with our innate creativity. Through the mindful kneading, shaping, and smoothing of clay, we’ll guide you through a variety of hands-on practices that calm anxious thoughts and regulate your nervous system. This includes sensory exploration, combined with breath work and guided imagery, that anchors you to the “here and now”, promoting inner balance and emotional release.

Participants will create a *sgraffito dish or tile, using carving techniques to reveal layered designs while engaging in sensory exploration, breathwork, and guided imagery that anchor you in the present moment and invite emotional release.

Finished pieces will be kiln-fired and ready for pickup the following week.

* Sgraffito is a lovely, handmade process for ceramics, where color is applied to clay and then carved away to uncover the clay beneath, allowing designs to emerge through contrast and texture.
