Our leadership team is specifically focused on mentoring emerging therapists as they navigate the complexities of the job, both professionally and personally. Internship Opportunities

Spotted Rabbit accepts second-year students from accredited art therapy programs for September - May internships. We typically start preparing for our interns around February or March. It is never too early to reach out if you are interested, as we occasionally secure interns before this time. Depending on client availability, we may be able to take on first-year students for their practicum hours.

Interning at Spotted Rabbit is a good fit for students who are interested in working with clients who have experienced emotional neglect, are neurodivergent or are part of the LGBTQIA+ community. Interns should be familiar with psychotherapy approaches such as ACT, CBT, psychodynamic, family systems, existential, feminist, multicultural, and person-centered. Interest in polyvagal theory and other somatic practices is a plus. We welcome the use of Jungian and spiritual approaches such as the use of archetypes, tarot cards, oracle decks, and mindfulness/meditation practices. Interns should demonstrate the soft skills necessary to work independently, and to seek out assistance as needed.
