Ages 7-11

Kids’ Clay Workshops

Each month features a new 2-part clay project designed to spark creativity in children ages 7-11. Participants will learn key ceramic hand building skills including slab construction, coil making, and pinch pots and exercise their knowledge of color theory as they glaze their bisque-fired sculptures.

Additionally, ceramic hand building is an ideal medium to help youth develop and strengthen a wide variety of executive functioning skills. Spotted Rabbit Studio specializes in working with youth who are LGBTQIA+, neurodivergent and/or who have other mental health concerns like anxiety or depression. Many kids this age struggle with emotion regulation, independence, and peer relationships and our groups are specifically developed to help youth navigate these challenges in a fun and engaging group environment.

Attendance at both dates is necessary as we will sculpt creations during the first session, fire them, and then glaze them the following week.
